'DWTS' Mark Ballas, Jean Carlson Halloween Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love Costume

While Dancing With the Stars transformed earlier this month for their Halloween episode, it seemed like professional dancer Mark Ballas couldn't get enough. The 29-year-old star and his 28-year-old girlfriend Brittany Jean Carlson decided to channel one of the most recognizable couples in music for the October celebration. The pair channeled their inner rock n' roll stars and put on some bleached blond wigs and attended the party as the late Kurt Cobain and his former girlfriend Courtney Love. We just have to say that they really outdid themselves.

According to Us Weekly, the couple wore the costumes to the Maxim Magazine Halloween BASH that took place in Beverly Hills this past Saturday, October 24.

Huffington Post is also reporting that the couple mirrored their looks after what Cobain and Love wore to the 1993 MTV Music Awards, where they took to the carpet as newlyweds.

The Nirvana musician and the Hole singer were married in 1992 and were together for two years before Cobain's suicide in 1994. The only thing missing from their costumes was Kurt and Courtney's daughter, Frances Bean, who Love held on her shoulders for much of the night on the red carpet.

Ballas, like the gentleman that he is, gave all the credit for the amazing costumes to his girlfriend, in his Instagram caption, writing, "Kurt & Courtney vibes last night. She gets all the credit for this costume. You nailed it baby. #paintedmyownnailstho #maxim #maximhalloween."

Ballas and Carlson went all out for the look, even down to their fingertips. The DWTS pro wore a similar striped black and white shirt, sunglasses, and leopard fur coat that Cobain wore. He even painted his nails with a coat of red polish to finish the look.

Carlson on the other hand wore a long white dress reminiscent of Love, with red lipstick, and a platinum blond wig.
