MStars News has learned that MTV's Yo Momma co-host, Sam Sarpong, is dead at the age of 40 from an apparent suicide. According to Fox 8, the London native jumped to his death in Southern California on Monday where he lived.
Sarpong, a model and actor, jumped from the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena. The Los Angeles County coroner's office revealed that Sarpong's death is currently being investigated as a suicide, but the official cause of death hasn't been stated yet. The toxicology test haven't been revealed yet.
Pasadena police said Sarpong jumped from the bridge after talk attempts that lasted over seven hours were unsuccessful. The actor had roles in the TV series Bones and Boston Public. In the Instagram snapshot below, Sarpong posed while the set of Bones.

He previously modeled for a number of brands including Tommy Hilfiger.

Sarpong leaves behind his father and sister, June Sarpong, who is also a TV host.
After learning of Sarpong's death, celebrities including CSI: NY actor Hill Harper remembered his friend and wrote: "#RIP #SamSarpong Such a good, creative man. Let's support each other y'all. Be there for each other. Love each other #RIP."
Friends and fans also tweeted their shock of Sarpong's death.
