Kate Walsh's storyline on Grey's Anatomy and her spin-off Private Practice has hit too close to home for the actress. While Addison Montgomery had trouble conceiving her own children on the ABC medical dramas, Walsh is bravely opening up about her own struggles to get pregnant. The actress divulged that she has gone through early menopause, which has left her unable to conceive a child.
According to PEOPLE, the 48-year-old star got very candid in a recent interview about not being able to have her own children.
The star sat down with Maria Menounos earlier this week for her SiriusXM show, Conversations with Maria Menounos, according to Yahoo! Health, where Walsh explained that the unset of early menopause has left her unable to conceive.

"I don't have children. I'm not going to have kids. I went through early menopause. That happened," the star explained in the interview with Menounos.
She also mentioned that the ailment has become "more and more common" for women, and when asked what he thinks causes it, she said that no one is exactly sure.
"Who knows why. It could be a product of our environment. The pill, we don't know," Walsh explained.
The star also says that her sister went through an early unset of menopause, which prompted Kate to get check for it.
"It was bleak. But that was a great kind of experience and growth," Walsh says of finding out and getting checked. "I've always felt I've been, at times in my life, indecisive or have hard times making decisions. I go for what I want and I also embrace what's in front of me."
Walsh also explained she felt "like a loser" for not having kids, according to ABC News, but adds that she "would definitely love to be a parent, but I definitely don't think I want to do it on my own."
