Donald Trump may have spoken too soon when he announced that he has gained the endorsement of 100 black ministers across the country on Monday. This announcement has sparked great debate amongst the black community and confusion with the pastors who were mentioned as having RSVP'd to meeting with Trump on a flyer.

NPR reports, "Once the list of the black ministers who were allegedly endorsing Trump was made public, there was even more skepticism – some from the ministers themselves."

One minister, Corletta Vaughn, declined multiple invitations to attend a meeting in Manhattan at a post press conference. She even declined multiple invitations from a black minister that overtly expresses his endorsement for Trump, Darrell Scott.

Vaughn voiced her concerns to Scott, "I'm very uncomfortable [with the press conference]. I'm already uncomfortable about coming to the meeting, and I don't think this a spot that I need to be in."

Vaughn went on further to state that Trump used the pastors as pawns for the meeting that took place on Monday at the Trump Tower. "I posted something on my Facebook page [last week] about Mr. Trump and my disdain for his campaign and I got a post in response that said, 'This is odd ... because I just saw your name on a flyer going to the Trump Towers on Monday to endorse him.'" Vaughn said, "I've never seen a flyer, I don't know anything about a flyer."

There are many pastors who were confused and voiced their opinion on the matter of the 100 pastors meeting with Trump. Jamal Bryant – pastor of the Empowerment Temple Church in Baltimore – expressed to the Daily News, "They are prostituting themselves, and in essence, the black church. It's Andy Warhol's daydream – it's 15 minutes of fame."

Bryant has voiced his concerns on why he would not endorse Trump, "We've heard nothing from [Trump] about bridging the gap of the economic inequality, mass incarceration, public schools, trade with Africa and other issues important to the black community."

Are Bryant's concerns the overall opinion of the black community? Voice your concerns and thoughts below.
