Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas have finally reached a settlement over their assets, with a judge finalizing their divorce this week. The former Hollywood couple split in 2014, after 18 years of marriage, but the divorce has been made official after it was signed off on by a California judge.
Griffith, 58, will have ownership of their home in Aspen, Colorado, a Picasso painting, and will receive $65,000 a month in spousal support from the 55-year-old Spanish actor.
The former couple split the funds received from the sale of their Los Angeles home.
The court documents TMZ obtained show that Griffith and Banderas kept their income separate from 1996 to 2004, but signed a contract in 2004. The actual divorce documents for the former couple were posted online in June 2014.
The former couple will split all movie earnings from 2004 until the date of their separation in 2014, which includes money Banderas earned for his movies including Shrek 2 and The Expendables 3, Puss in Boots and Machete Kills.
This is the fourth divorce for The Working Girl actress and the second divorce for Banderas.
Griffith was divorcing husband Don Johnson for the second time when she met Banderas, who was married to his first wife, Ana Leza.
They reportedly fell in love when they starred alongside one another in the 1995 movie, Two Much.
Banderas and Griffith have a 19-year-old daughter named Stella together.
There were rumors that Banderas and Griffith’s split may have been caused by his womanizing ways.
An insider claimed in June 2014 that he was getting very close to Bollywood actress, Mallika Sherawat. The report was never confirmed.
The Spanish actor has moved on from Griffith and is now dating Nicole Kempel, a Dutch investment consultant who is 20 years his junior.
