Queen Latifah Honors Nicki Minaj at "VH1 Big in 2015 With Entertainment Weekly"

When two queens unite, it sparks something beautiful. Monday night, marked another accolade for Nicki Minaj. Minaj was honored by Queen Latifah at "VH1 Big in 2015 with Entertainment Weekly" for the amazing strides and accomplishments during her career, reported by Rap-Up.

The publication reports "Nicki, I'm thrilled to be here for you tonight. You're a force within the hip-hop community. You've become an inspiration to women everywhere. I love how you are not afraid to speak your mind." Latifah referred to Minaj as one of the greats in rap history and no one can take that title away from her.

Rolling Out reports, when the mic was turned on to Minaj, she returned the favor by saying, "Queen Latifah, I am so obsessed with you because you're so genuine and so sweet. She knows what it takes to be a woman in a male-dominated field."

The publication goes on to say Minaj personally requested for the Queen to be the one to honor her.

Both ladies have built empires and share starring in the same movie franchise together, Barbershop.

Minaj went on to give words of encouragement to women everywhere, "I hope that if I inspire women to do anything, it's just to never take no for an answer. No matter what field you're in, go after your biggest dream. Do not settle. Do not allow people to tell that you can't do anything you put your mind to."

Of course, her beau, Meek Mill, was seated next to her to see her get such an epic award. However, Capital Xtra reports, the awkward look Mills had on his face while Minaj was being honored. Minaj bypassed that annoying stare by singling Mill out and giving him his own thank you for being in his life.

The room at the VH1 Big in 2015 with Entertainment Weekly also honored the talented Howard graduate, Taraji P. Henson.
