5 Actors Who Got Kicked Off Their Own Shows: Patrick Dempsey and More

Ever wondered why actor Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy) in Grey's Anatomy went McByeBye? Some of Hollywood's biggest stars have been kicked off in their own shows for simply not getting along with their castmates, their crew members or their show creators.

While obviously one of the most amazing things that can happen to an actor working in television is to be part of a show that turns out to be a major hit, some of these actors built up an attitude that got them written off shows.

1. Shannen Doherty

Doherty's infamous turbulent relationship with her Beverly Hills 90210 castmates was never a secret, they even banded together to have the brunette beauty fired after things got out of control on set.

After being fired from 90210, the actress can't seem to catch a break as she experienced a deijavu moment when she also can't get along with her Charmed co-star, Alyssa Milano.

The rumored feud led to Doherty's character, Prue, being killed off the show.

2. Charlie Sheen

In 2011, Sheen lashed out at Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre in a series of angry tweets and interveiws.

As Sheen spiraled downward and set himself up for self-destruction, Lorre took his beloved character, Charlie Harper, from him and killed him off the show.

He was then replaced by Ashton Kutcher.

3. Patrick Dempsey

Dempsey became a household name for his role as neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy. But his name was also linked as one of the characters that creator Shonda Rhimes killed off from the popular medical drama television series.

When Rhimes found out that Dempsey was planning to leave the show, she gave him his wish in advance by giving him his exit by killing his character off in a car crash.

4. Naya Rivera

When Rivera was pulled off from Glee, everyone thought that she was just part of the musical comedy-drama television show's plot change. After all, the original cast were all grown up in the series and everyone assumed that Santana was just meant to fade from the scenes.

Little did we know that the real reason was due to her feud with Lea Michele. Although nobody confirmed the reports, but the issue just won't die down

5. Aviva Drescher
