Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has had to deal with many dire issues in her life including going to prison for a couple years for a drug addiction. While the MTV star lost custody of her daughter Leah to baby daddy Gary Shirley during that awful time, it looks like she has now gotten her back.
According to Radar Online, the former reality couple made a deal to share custody of their little girl after fighting for years over who will get her.
"Amber and Gary finally worked everything out with their lawyers two weeks ago," a source told the gossip site. "They're both happy."
In the just released sneak peek trailer for the hit reality series, Amber is shown in different scenes going through various emotions about not having Leah. She first starts out crying, "I shouldn't have to go through a custody battle for my kid." Later on she yells at Gary, "You should talk to me before you do something like this in front of the cameras."
As MStars News has reported, Gary recently married his other baby mama Kristina Anderson in a secret ceremony that even took Amber by surprise. However, the nuptials were hush hush reportedly because of an ulterior motive regarding their custody fight.
"As it was, Amber had the right of first refusal with Leah. For example, if Gary couldn't pick Leah up from school, Amber should have been contacted first about filling in... But Gary preferred to get Kristina's help," Starcasm reported. "Now that they are married, Gary has the right to turn to Kristina before Amber."
Amber has her own wedding to plan since she announced on Twitter she will marry fiancé Matt Baier in October 2016.
It's official me and @mattbEPT are getting married next October 2016 I can't wait! Sending love everyone
