Caitlyn Jenner's insurance company has settled a lawsuit by one of the victims in the horrific car crash in February. This settlement was with the Prius driver, Hollywood agent Jessica Steindorff, who claimed she suffered serious medical injuries and lost wages after being rear-ended by Jenner on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway. The reality star still faces other lawsuits filed by the family of Kim Howe, who lost her life in the car wreck.
Jenner settled with Steindorff, who happened to be driving on a suspended license at the time of the crash. The 30-year-old's lawyer claimed that she was not aware of the suspended license, having lost it when she failed to pay a speeding ticket.
Steindorff told investigators she had stopped at a red light when she was rear-ended by Jenner.
Steindorff was reportedly paid entirely by Jenner's insurance company for personal injury and property damage. There have been no details on the amount the Hollywood agent will receive in the settlement.
The car crash on Malibu's Pacific Coast Highway claimed the life 69-year-old of Kim Howe, whose two adult stepchildren are suing the reality TV star.
Jenner struck Howe's Lexus sedan and pushed it into oncoming traffic, where she was hit by a Hummer SUV and killed.
The former Olympian issued a statement on the fatal crash to E! News shortly after the crash, saying, "My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."
