After his arrest, his $1 million bail notice and his now infamous mug shot (seen above) this past Wednesday, comedian Bill Cosby took to Twitter to thank his friends and fans. Unfortunately, it appeared as of none of them showed up because the social media platform did nothing but scold him severely.
The 78-year-old tossed up the below tweet to his followers:
Friends and fans, Thank You.
— Bill Cosby (@BillCosby) January 1, 2016
Cosby's arrest comes in light of an alleged 2004 sexual assault on a former Temple University employee named Andrea Constand. And despite the charge, Cosby's attorney, Monique Pressley, assures Today that the comedian is indeed not guilty.
"And there will be no consideration on our part of any sort of arrangement," she added.
In response to his tweet, this is how some on Twitter felt:
@BillCosby You're not welcome. — Leah (@leahflame) January 1, 2016
@BillCosby Make a New Year's resolution, Bill: stop denying your horrendous crimes against women. — STEVEN MOORE (@stemoo95) January 1, 2016
Yep, and then some more:
@BillCosby Enjoy jail — . (@___Q__) January 1, 2016
@BillCosby You kidding, man?
— James Murtagh (@jamesmurtagh) January 1, 2016
Oh, don't worry, there's more:
@BillCosby lick my balls, Bill. But first, I have a pill I want you to take. Don't worry, it's herbal! #Leykis https://t.co/YpiPHYGELY — Tom Leykis (@tomleykis) January 1, 2016
@BillCosby you're a monster. Your day is coming. — Al Tavera (@Alteeg) January 1, 2016
Okay, we're done. But seriously, there's a lot more.
Unforutnately, if you're like someone (this writer, for example), then you're unable to see Cosby's tweets because, well, he's blocked you.
@billcosby blocked me on @twitter. I'm okay with that. pic.twitter.com/gUdCfBnxfM — Kyle Dowling (@dowling_kyle) July 23, 2015
Despite the outcry of disgust on Twitter, there are some people who still claim that Cosby is innocent – even outside of his attorney.
