Over the weekend, TMZ reported Harry Shearer, the voice of Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner and Waylon Smithers on The Simpsons, was the only holdout going into the 28th season of the famed FOX series. Despite Matt Groening saying these reports were false, it seems they were very much true. Conan O'Brien and The Office creator Greg Daniels have been longtime friends, and it looks like the two are joining forces to create some (hopefully) hysterical television. It's being reported that O'Brien and Daniels locked a deal with TBS to create a show about aliens. Per a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the new series will be called The Group. It will center on "a support group for people who think they have been abducted by aliens, which is the subject of a snarky feature piece by skeptical journalist Wyatt Jones. The more he digs into the oddballs' claims, however, the more confused, intrigued and seduced he becomes," according to the report. Read More »

It doesn't seem like it but 20 years ago Kevin Smith delivered Mallrats to the world. It's one of the many films in Smith's early repertoire that has reached cult status. This it's why it almost seems too good to be true that the movie will be getting a sequel. Smith made the announcement yesterday on Facebook and said the movie will be called Mallbrats. Returning for the sequel is Jason Lee, who will be donning the role of slacker Brodie Bruce once again. Joining Lee will, of course, be Shannon Doherty, Michael Rooker, Jason Mewes and Ethan Suplee.
