Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David's 90s baby Seinfeld had a brilliant way of stepping around controversial topics and tackling them straight on in a SFW sort of way that no other sitcom could do. The perfect example would be "The Contest"––the masturbation episode in which Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer enter a contest to see who can be "master of their domain." And while it seemed nothing could top that, apparently the heads over at NBC gave the axe to a couple of episodes they deemed too controversial for the airwaves. Yesterday, March 23, was National Puppy Day, which means that Twitter was blowing up with photographs of cute and cuddly dogs every minute. Whether the pictures were of the little pups on their own, with a celebrity or with ... well, anyone ... it seems none of us could withhold our excitement. The guys of Broken Lizard have officially announced its IndieGoGo campaign (after initially stating a Kickstarter would be used) for Super Troopers 2, with a goal of $2 million put in place. 20th Century Fox has announced that it will distribute the film if the goal is met and production is completed. This means that we can expect a whole bunch of great new quotes from the crew that brought us the 2001 cult classic comedy, this time with brand a brand new plot! If you’re a coffee-drinker then you undoubtedly heard about Starbucks’ #RaceTogether campaign. As a way to bring up the subject of race with their customers, the baristas at Starbucks were told to write “Race Together” on the side of every cup they serve. The hope was the act would serve as a conversation starter. Unfortunately, all it seemed to do was create criticism and backlash. Which is exactly why the famed coffee company canceled the idea after one week in practice.
