Is the world ready for a black actor to play James Bond? Whatever your answer, it's happening - sort of. Acclaimed Selma leading man David Oyelowo was this week announced as the official voice of James Bond, agent 007 in an upcoming audiobook based on the Ian Fleming novels that have since turned into a franchise of successful movies. He won't replace Daniel Craig on the big screen after 2015's Spectre, but he will be remembered as the voice of Bond in Trigger Mortis, written by Anthony Horowitz. Considering this is part of a hot topic, we have to wonder if Idris Elba was considered for this voice acting work after making headlines as a possible Craig replacement. According to a new Entertainment Weekly feature on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, director J.J. Abrams has confirmed that no new footage will be shown at the upcoming 2015 Disney convention, D23 Expo taking place in Anaheim, CA, later this week. NFL superstar Tom Brady is currently going through one of the toughest legal battles of his life during the widely covered "DeflateGate" trial, which will have a heavy effect on the New England Patriots quarterback's future. This week, he arrived at the courtroom hearing with a smile (see above photo) and sat through yet another proceeding with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to finalize Brady's suspension and maybe even introduce a new appeal.
