Lana Del Rey might have just secured a major hit record with her third studio album "Ultraviolence," but it seems the starlet doesn't rest on her laurels for too long, as she is about to follow up the album sooner than expected. Yup, you read that right: Lana is gearing up to release a new album and it will most likely be ready sometime this year. The star is currently looking to pick up some awards for her work on the soundtrack for the film "Big Eyes," but she isn't letting her involvement with that project slow her down and distracting her from album No. 4. The star opened up in a Q&A with "Billboard" magazine, where she told them that her newest project was a departure from the sound she experimented with on Ultraviolence and more of a return to the vibes of "Born to Die" and "Paradise." "It's very different from the last one and similar to the first two, 'Born to Die' and 'Paradise,'" the songstress revealed. "I finished my last one ['Ultraviolence'] in March and released it in June and I had a follow-up idea. It's growing into something I really like. I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more nourish feel for this one. It's been good." Consequence of Sound is also reporting on the new album, stating that Del Rey has already picked out a title and written close to a dozen songs for it. The site is reporting that Lana has already written nine songs for the record, titled 'Honeymoon,' and will even include a cover of Nina Simone's classic "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." Read More »
