Alice In Wonderland and Big Eyes director Tim Burton and actor partner Helena Bonham Carter have reportedly split after 13 years together. The couple — who have collaborated on movies such as Alice in Wonderland, Dark Shadows, Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd and Planet of the Apes over the past decade — have two children together, and Helena Bonham Carter has served as Burton's muse for many of his movies.
As People Magazine report Helena Bonham Carter's rep said in a statement, "Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter separated amicably earlier this year and have continued to be friends and co-parent their children."
"We would ask that you respect their privacy and that of their children during this time."
The couple have two children, 11 year old Billy and 7 year old Nell.

As The Washington Post report, the high powered pair "met when filming the Depp-free Planet of the Apes in 2001, which Burton directed." They go on to say that "Ever since, they have been a favorite on the red carpet, mostly due to Bonham Carter's wild fashion choices."
56 year old American Burton - who was recently confirmed to be working on a sequel to 1988's Michael Keaton-Alec Baldwin starring Beetlejuice - is known for his extremely idiosyncratic filmmaking, including his legendary turn at the helm of the Caped Crusader franchise with Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992).
Meanwhile 48 year old Brit Bonham-Carter's turns as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland, Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter series pinned her as Hollywood's go-to actress for 'kooky'.
As sad as any split may be, perhaps this means some other actress actually gets to star opposite Johnny Depp in increasingly dull movies.
Still, Burton's about-to-open new movie Big Eyes stars Christoph Waltz, Amy Adams and Kristen Ritter... who, once you think of it, is kind of a Helena Bonham Carter-lite. Check out the trailer for it below.
