On Monday night Alabama defeated Clemson in the College Football National Championship. It was an exciting game; a great game, even, with plenty of scoring and plenty of drama. But perhaps the most dramatic act of the night came on a rather anticlimactic play, when Clemson scored a meaningless touchdown with 12-seconds remaining. A Clemson University student was found dead at Memorial Stadium (where the football team plays its home games) Tuesday morning. The student, an 18-year-old freshman from Dunwoody, Georgia, reportedly fell about 120 feet from the top of the south stands, according to school officials and the Pickens County Coroner's office.
