On Tuesday, Clemson University sent home three of it's football palyers for violating team rules (according to reports, they were sent home for failing drug tests). The decision comes just two days before the number 1 ranked Tigers' take on Oklahoma in College Football's Playoff semifinal. Deon Cain, a key wide receiver, is among the three along with Kicker Ammon Lakip and tight end Jay Jay McCullough. Sports Illustrated reports the people's poll has correctly predicted the last three Heisman winners: Robert Griffin III of Baylor, Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston of Florida State. The magazine then makes it clear that Alabama's WR Amari Cooper doesn't get its vote; that goes to Mariota. Alabama was named the No.1 seed in the first College Football Playoff Sunday, Dec. 7, after the Crimson Tide spent Saturday defeating No. 16 Missouri 42-13 in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.
