‘Simpsons’ Producer Sam Simon Dies at Age 59

Longtime producer of the famed FOX series The Simpsons, Sam Simon, has reportedly died at the age of 59. 'The Simpsons' Sam Simon Creator Diagnosed With Terminal Cancer, Gives Fortune To Animal Rights Charities

Co-creator of "The Simpsons" Sam Simon was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer in 2012 and was given only three to six months to live. During that moment, the star vowed to give away all his money to charity. Now, more than two years later, the star's still trying to remain healthy as he continues his battle with cancer. In a new interview with NBC, Maria Shriver interviewed "The Simpsons" star, who talked about his amazing outlook on life, philanthropy and cancer — a great way to pick up girls, he said. According to "E! News," Sam partnered up with animal rights organizations including PETA back in 2012 when he was given only months to live.
