Tonight marked the end of comedian Jon Stewart's run as the host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show. Over the course of Stewart's 17(ish)-year run, he and his staff succeeded in becoming a go-to news series for millennials and adults alike, unexpectedly morphing from a fake news comedy show to a sort-of-fake-news-but-really-delivering-the-truth kind of comedy show. Following Donald Trump's presidential announcement, it was reported that it took him some time to actually file the paperwork making him a presidential candidate for the 2016 Republication party. When Daily Show host Jon Stewart heard this, he decided to shut down his famed Comedy Central program early before the last show on Aug. 6, but luckily Trump ended up filing the paperwork just in time, officially making him a Republican candidate and having Jon Stewart keep his Daily Show on the air for five more weeks. Now that Jon Stewart has announced he's leaving The Daily Show, and even set a date for it, it looks like the rest of the crew is jumping ship. Well, at least a couple. Recently, the political satirist said goodbye to his eldest correspondent, Samantha Bee. Bee joined the Comedy Central vehicle back in 2003, and has since delivered an astonishingly hilarious 12 years of appearances on the show. Just like an 18-year-old boy, Jon Stewart claims Fox News is "j*rking" itself off. On last week's Daily Show, the comedian showed a clip of Fox correspondent Megyn Kelly noting several times the network got a story right.
