Ellen Pao irked a lot of people on the Reddit message boards. Many of the redditor faithful felt the interim CEO had a censorship problem. On top of that she faced an even bigger backlash when she let go of the Ask Me Anything's founder. With all the trouble that has come about, the CEO stepped down from her position. If you ask some Redditors how they feel about interim CEO Ellen Pao they'll tell you the boss has a censorship issue. Since coming in Pao shut down several subreddits she deemed offensive and last week, the sites users were up in arms when Pao let go of one of its top executives Victoria Taylor. Taylor coordinated the popular Ask Me Anything series and once again, petitions went out calling for Pao's resignation. This week Reddit shut down five communities. The reason for the shutdowns is because the subreddits went against a new anti-harassment program led by interim chief executive Ellen Pao. The most popular community closed was called Fat People Hate. The subreddit made fun of overweight people and was made up of pictures and comments.
