For only a few months now, we've known that Emile Hirsh will star in a John Belushi biopic as the late comedian and Saturday Night Live legend. This news broke in November, but there have been few updates on the project since. But thanks to an announcement made at a Sundance party by an excited Hirsch, we might have learned the actor signed on to play Belushi's friend Dan Akroyd. Earlier this month a new movie based on the life and death of John Belushi was announced with director Steve Conrad attached to the project. About a week after this announcement, Emile Hirsch was cast in the lead role of the biopic and now it has moved into pre-production. Well just this week, the late Belushi's brother, Jim, announced to TMZ that he doesn't agree with the casting choice of Hirsch and that his son Robert should star instead. Read More »
