It's almost been a year since Eminem hinted that he'd be coming out with a new album in 2013... and STILL no official details surrounding the rapper's eighth studio record have been released. The only guy willing to (somewhat) pacify anxious fans - Slim Shady's hype-man and former D12 band mate, Mr. Porter. Will a Kendrick Lamar collaboration appear on this mysterious album? Maybe... As far as fans know, Eminem did not perform new music at G-Shock's exclusive "Shock the World" event in NYC last week. But rumors surrounding the release date for the Detroit rapper's highly-anticipated 2013 album still dominate the web - perhaps the record will hit stores this Labor Day (September 2)? As Slim Shady loyalists express their enthusiasm on Twitter, some parents are not too happy with the promoters of the new children's flick, "Despicable Me 2." Em's hit song "Without Me" is featured in a few of the film trailers, and several youngsters found the tune rather catchy. Although G-Shock provided no live stream for Eminem's exclusive performance at NYC's "Shock the World" party on Wednesday (August 7), several fan-made videos of the concert have since gone viral on Youtube. And as far as we can tell, Slim Shady did NOT perform any new music from his highly-anticipated upcoming album. Perhaps audience members were told not to share Em's fresh material... or maybe he just stuck to the oldies? Several sites are currently reporting that Eminem's highly-anticipated performance at NYC's exclusive "Shock the World" party hosted by G-Shock on Wednesday (August 7) will feature an online live stream. NOT TRUE! Parts of the annual music event will be broadcasted live online, and Slim Shay IS a confirmed performer, but fans won't be able to watch his rap set from the comforts of their computer.
