Back in 2005, fans of Lisa Kudrow immediately found themselves thrilled at the fact that the former Friends star was returning to television as Valerie Cherish in HBO’s The Comeback. And while it only lasted one season, that didn’t stop fans from clamoring and yearning for more of the oh, so persistent actress. Well, nine years later, they finally got their wish when HBO decided to revisit the series for an eight-episode, second season which ended earlier tonight with Kudrow’s character winning herself an Emmy for her new show Seeing Red – created by her Season 1 “nemesis” Paulie G (played by actor Lance Barber). And while she’s not necessarily present to accept the award, it seems that when she episode ends she’s right where she wants to be. If you've ever been drunk in Brooklyn and found yourself deep in conversation with a bartender, chances are that story could have ended up on comedian Katharine Heller's Tell the Bartender podcast. Is it probable? Maybe not, but it is possible! The New York native is a stand up in Brooklyn, hosting the aforementioned Tell the Bartender along with The Struggle Bus, an advice podcast that aims at helping listeners through problems with no "legit" credentials whatsoever. What she and co-host Sally Tamarkin do have, however, are "lots of feelings and opinions." Additionally, Heller's Tell the Bartender sits as a storytelling podcast featuring tales of once-upon-a-time customers. As The Comeback is now over halfway through Season 2, the Lisa Kudrow-led HBO series has finally shown just what Seeing Red has in store for Valerie Cherish. And from the looks of it, the actress may soon find herself venturing out to bigger and better things once the series premieres. Actor Damian Young finds himself in an interesting situation on HBO’s The Comeback. As we watch Lisa Kudrow’s Valerie Cherish continues to forge onward, hoping for the project of her dreams, she still has to head home at the end of the day and have a life outside of Hollywood – yes, there are such things. Which is where her husband Mark (played by Young) comes into play. Above all, even the craziness that comes from Cherish’s career and the ever-interrupting nature of Jane and her crew, it seems safe to say that Mark and Valerie have a rather rock solid marriage. Back in 2005, HBO’s The Comeback introduced us all to a character we would soon love to hate – Paulie G. As Valerie Cherish’s show runner in the Lisa Kudrow-led series, Paulie G was the guy everyone knew. As actor Lance Barber, who plays Paulie G, puts it: he is the a**hole everyone knows. Well, now, Barber is bringing that a-hole back with Season 2 of The Comeback. Season 2 of HBO's The Comeback returned to the network just last week (Sunday, Nov. 9). Earlier tonight, episode 2 aired and displayed the return of Jane! Played by actress Laura Silverman, Jane stood as the eyes and ears of The Comeback (in the show) throughout Season 1 - somewhat acting as the audience to a degree. During tonight's episode, we find her character rather reluctant to get back into the swing of things, mainly due to the harsh reality of Hollywood. Regardless, either with her immense charm or unbelievable persistence, Valerie manages to bring Jane back to the team to shoot some BTS (that's behind the scenes!) footage of her new series Seeing Red.
