After plenty of rumors it's official, "How I Met Your Mother" is getting a spinoff series. The CBS sitcom is currently in its ninth and final season, but the network will try to continue the ratings success of "HIMYM" with the spinoff series "How I Met Your Dad." Deadline reports that CBS inked a deal with 20th Century Fox TV for a pilot order of the spinoff, which will take the female perspective of "HIMYM." Before you get too excited though, you must know that none of the characters from "HIMYM" will be featured in the spinoff.
