Slum Village release new song to celebrate J Dilla's birthday

Today is the birthday of J Dilla, the legendary Slum Village producer who died from a rare blood disorder in 2006. To commemorate what would've been Dilla's 40th birthday, the remaining member's of Slum Village released a new track over a previously unreleased Dilla production. Check out "Yes Yes" below. Rapper J Dilla (real name James Dewitt Yancey) died at the age of 32 back in 2006 from Lupas. His final album was written and recorded from his hospital bed as he was pretty much dying. The 29-track record was titled "Donuts" in honor of Dilla's love of the tasty treat. Now his uncle, baker Herman Hayes, has announced that he is opening a doughnut shop in honor of his late nephew whom he used to make doughnuts for when he was a child.
