Someone's a bit jelly in the TDE camp. Ab-Soul has had it with Black Hippy's most famous member snagging the majority of the spotlight and a recent XXL cover (above) that billed the group as "Kendrick Lamar & Black Hippy" only helped fuel the fire. Read More »

Pusha T is the latest to respond to Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse. The My Name Is My Name rapper said that it was "all good" with K-Dot and claimed that the verse was really nothing special (rightfully so) and felt honored to be included on the track. Read More »

Arsenio Hall's return to the late night talk show world has been going great for the television personality. Pusha T reminds us why his name is his name on "Nosestalgia" (ugh), a Kendrick Lamar-featuring track from his new album. The unrelenting, drug-pushing recollection is as bleak and downtrodden as all the other tracks we've heard from Pusha's latest, leaving us to wonder if the entire thing will be one long soul-crushing slog (the bright guitar stabs suggest Pusha isn't going to make us stare into the abyss for too long, but who knows?). Nowhere is that more evident that "I Know What You Want," a track that makes it rap-bent clear by jacking one of the most recognizable beats of 2012: the frenetic synth sounds of Kendrick Lamar's "m.A.A.d city." It's a little strange to hear Cassie's straightforward come-ons over beats that once hosted lines like "Bodies on top of bodies/ IV's on top of IV's/ Obviously, the coroner between the sheets like the Isleys," but a good kind of strange (like trying somethin' new in the bedroom, perhaps?) We are all most likely familiar with the controversial song "Control," which features a brutal verse from Kendrick Lamar. The young rapper disses plenty of other young hip hop artists including the other two rappers featured on the track, Big Sean and Jay Electronica. The song will actually appear on Big Sean's upcoming record but Jay Electronica apparently wanted the song for his new album (which could be called Act II: Patents of Nobility (the Turn)) Read More »
