After almost 30 years of being devoted to the Church of Scientology, actor Tom Cruise is leaving his religion behind to become a more loving and present parent to daughter Suri Cruise, 9. Suri spends most of her time with mother Katie Holmes, who is divorced from Cruise. Reportedly, Cruise video chats and talks to Suri on the phone but "it's just not the same." Cruise realized that he was missing out on too many of Suri's milestones and decided that in order to be the dedicated parent he wanted to be, he would have to leave behind a religion that he has advocated for such I long time, even becoming a "poster boy" of sorts to the church itself. It’s being reported that the famed actor and spokesperson for Scientology was almost hit by a bus while filming scenes for the upcoming Mission Impossible film. Of course, he wasn’t actually filming while he was nearly hit; he was just crossing the street. Maybe it’s because of all those dating rumors about he and Miranda Kerr? Tom Cruise may be one of the biggest movie stars known to man, but it seems despite his upcoming Mission Impossible 5 role, he's not easily recognized across the globe. The Hollywood star has been in Peterborough, filming with British aircraft for the film, but during his Marriott hotel stay, he went missing, with next to nobody realizing the calibre of star they were hosting. And while that may seem like hyperbole to some, it's apparently totally true. Tom Cruise REALLY does do all of his own stunts... including hanging out of a moving plane that's 5,000 feet in the air.
