If Mona Scott-Young was trying to piss people off, especially HBCU sororities and college students, she may have been successful. "MStars" News previously reported that the creator of "Love & Hip Hop" was allegedly degrading the true meaning of "sisterhood" with her new show that aired on VH1: "Sorority Sisters." We learned that a petition was created to ban the show after outraged sororities and fraternities produced almost 50,000 signatures before the show aired. The drama was heated Monday night, Dec. 15, in the first episode. It proved that the reality show was another display of catfights, cliques, breakups and makeups — or, in the words of TV One host Roland Martin, "Hood Rats Gone Wild." Read More »
We now know the possible name of Kourtney Kardashian's third child — well, sort of! The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star and her partner Scott Disick are trying to determine a name for their second son and "Jeffrey Robert Disick" seems to be the name in the cards. According to Hollywood Life, Kourtney and Scott want to name their son in honor of his late grandfathers Robert Kardashian and Jeffrey Disick. "They really want to honor their fathers and have talked very strongly on "Jeffrey Robert." That would be the order the name would be presented," a source revealed to the site. "Scott really wants that more than Kourtney. Kourtney actually wants a more unique first name but may compromise and have Jeffrey as the middle name to make Scott happy as well," the source explains. That sounds just like Kourtney. After all, she did name her first two kids with unique names — Mason Dash Disick and Penelope Scotland Disick — so why would her third child get different treatment? "MStars News" previously reported that Kourtney gave birth to her third child Sunday, Dec. 14, the same day she delivered her first-born child Mason five years ago. Read More »
A couple weeks ago, "MStars News" learned that Yung Berg was being fired from the hit VH1 show "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Masika Kalysha. Now the reality show's executive producer, Mona Scott-Young, has revealed that she was sad and upset about letting Berg go. "MStars News" previously revealed that Berg was let go in a VH1 statement that read: "Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood," effective immediately." After finally letting violent cast members go, including Benzino from "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta," Mona Scott-Young says the network and production team's decision to let Berg go was a bit sad. "Listen, like I said, I know that emotions get the best of them. I was not there so I can't speak to exactly what led to that. I know that he does feel badly that it did happen," Mona said in an interview with Vlad TV. "Unfortunately, the network decided that was an absolute position that they had to take," she continued. "Berg is such a talented artist and I wish him all the best. I hope that the time that he spent on the franchise he's managed to leverage it and that it serves him. He was great. I will miss him ... I loved his personality. I loved his sense of humor. I think he was a great addition to the show." Read More »
