If Mona Scott-Young was trying to piss people off, especially HBCU sororities and college students, she may have been successful.
MStars News previously reported that the creator of Love & Hip Hop was allegedly degrading the true meaning of sisterhood with her new show that aired on VH1: Sorority Sisters.
We learned that a petition was created to ban the show after outraged sororities and fraternities produced almost 50,000 signatures before the show aired.
The drama was heated Monday night, Dec. 15, in the first episode. It proved that the reality show was another display of catfights, cliques, breakups and makeups — or, in the words of TV One host Roland Martin, "Hood Rats Gone Wild."
Dear @vh1, please rename #SororitySisters Hood Rats Gone Wild.

Martin, along with other upset viewers, took to Twitter to reveal just how displeased they are with the new show:
I can not believe y'all really watched that show last night. I did not and I will not. #vh1 #sororitysisters — Jasmin (@J_Renee23) December 16, 2014
#SororitySisters is a disgrace to every woman who's joined the ranks of women before then in the name of scholarship & philanthropy.

All the hate for #SororitySisters is exactly what VH1 wants and they are still trending. The more hate, the more money they make.
