Gennady Golovkin For Carl Froch?

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 26, 2014 12:32 PM EDT

Carl Froch delivered a devastating knockout to George Groves at Wembley Stadium, and it's safe to say he has earned the right to do whatever he wants, and he's living by that right. The world champion boxer has laughed off the idea of a rematch with Groves and he has laughed off the idea of fighting James DeGale. He'll retire if he fails to get a bout against Gennady Golovkin or Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The British boxer wants a Las Vegas showdown, and if not it appears he'll walk away before risking his legacy in a domestic battle. World Champion Carl Froch Insults Contender James DeGale

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 17, 2014 01:40 PM EDT

Carl Froch and James DeGale could of stepped in to the ring with one another, but it seems Froch has little to no interest in the boxing bout. The IBF and WBA super-middleweight champion has ripped in to his domestic rival, insulting him, and ruling out their possible showdown in the process. Froch has revealed he'd retire before bothering to get out of bed to train for a DeGale bout. The champion wasn't coy, either. Read More »

World Champion Boxers Set For Retirement?

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 16, 2014 04:57 PM EDT

The boxing world is set to explode, and it's got little to do with money. Carl Froch, Amir Khan, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Floyd Mayweather Jr all have millions of dollars to spare, as proven with Floyd's recent trip to a L.A. strip club, however, it seems for once, their fights are about their opponents, and the locations only. Floyd wants a Las Vegas MGM showdown with British boxer Amir Khan, while Chavez is being tempted in to fighting Carl Froch. Will these blockbuster bouts take place, and if not, will champions Froch and Mayweather simply accept that they'd rather face retirement than another meaningless fight? Read More »

Cruiserweight Fighters Stepping Up To Heavyweight For Kltischko?

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 14, 2014 08:32 AM EDT

The cruiserweight and heavyweight boxing divisions have, for a long while, been the pinnacle of the boxing world. However, it seems they're no longer content with being separated because of a few pounds of weight. Cruiserweights aren't much lighter than heavyweight, but the glory the latter receives seems to weigh a ton more for their self esteem, so could Tony Bellew, Nathan Cleverly and Marco Huck ditch their division, and make a change to their bodies, hoping to get clashes with the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua instead? Huck seems prepared to do so, Read More »

Wladimir Klitschko may be the boxing heavyweight champion of the world, but he's already insisted that British boxer Anthony Joshua has all the tools to replace him. Yet again, he's proven the champ is right. A.J. was supposed to have his first 'tough' fight, for the WBC international heavyweight title, and yet again, he won a fight within 2 rounds. The fight was stopped with Denis Bakhtov unable to continue. One of the next fights coming up for the WBC champ could be former world champion David Haye, but how will A.J. perform against the better boxers? Read More »

Carl Froch Has Blockbuster Fights Remaining

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 02, 2014 12:51 PM EDT

IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch has achieved a lot in his boxing career, so it's understandable that he needs motivation for his final fights before retirement. Time after time he has proven the world wrong, but now as he makes the world wait, everyone can only wonder, who will he fight next? He's believed to favour a fight in Las Vegas against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, yet both British boxers George Groves and James DeGale present him with high-earning potential. However, it seems the world champion boxer would put personal glory over money as he reaches the end of his career. Read More »
