In a recent interview with Death Row Records' chief engineer Rick Clifford, we learned that notorious rapper and actor Tupac Shakur almost landed a role in the 2001 film Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. This might seem like a weird casting to think about, but the role he auditioned for with George Lucas was eventually filled by Samuel L. Jackson: Mace Windu.
