'LHHATL' Benzino Owes $5M To Government! Will Fired Star, Wife Go Bankrupt After Reunion Brawl?

"Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" producers just fired Benzino and Althea Heart after the huge brawl with Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez at the reunion show, but now the "Hip Hop Weekly" owner has even more troubles on his hands. According to thejasminebrand.com, the government just slammed the reality star with a tax lien worth more than $5 million! Here is the breakdown by year from the IRS in Georgia of how much he owes: 1997 ($178,397.30), 1998 ($760,867.19), 1999 ($691,828.28), 2000 ($1,3339,844.11), 2001 ($634,281.39), 2002 ($143,7688), 2003 ($19,969.91), 2004 ($12,975.36), 2005 ($87,366.32) and 2008 ($18,470.64). This comes to a whopping $5,181,788.50! Here are the court documents. The magazine mogul has had issues with the IRS in the past. In 2005, he was charged by the government for not filing tax returns for 1999 and 2000. Not only that, they alleged he didn't inform them about the $1.5 million he made during those years. Lauryn Hill Taxes: After Sentencing Hill Posts Note To Facebook Thanking Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, 28 Others For Writing Letters To Judge

Lauryn Hill has been sentenced for tax evasion. While Sony swept in at the last minute to provide Hill with the money to pay her fines (and get some new music from Hill out of the deal), Hill will still serve three months for failing to pay taxes on $1.8M she received from 2005 to 2007. The lenient sentence is thanks, in part, to letters written to the judge. According to a note on Hill's Facebook, Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys wrote the judge in Hill's case, as well as 28 others.
