Love & Hip Hop Atlanta producers just fired Benzino and Althea Heart after the huge brawl with Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez at the reunion show, but now the Hip Hop Weekly owner has even more troubles on his hands.
According to thejasminebrand.com, the government just slammed the reality star with a tax lien worth more than $5 million! Here is the breakdown by year from the IRS in Georgia of how much he owes:
1997 ($178,397.30), 1998 ($760,867.19), 1999 ($691,828.28), 2000 ($1,3339,844.11), 2001 ($634,281.39), 2002 ($143,7688), 2003 ($19,969.91), 2004 ($12,975.36), 2005 ($87,366.32) and 2008 ($18,470.64). This comes to a whopping $5,181,788.50! Here are the court documents.
The magazine mogul has had issues with the IRS in the past. In 2005, he was charged by the government for not filing tax returns for 1999 and 2000. Not only that, they alleged he didn't inform them about the $1.5 million he made during those years. Luckily for him, he was found not guilty of the charges against him.
As MStars News reported, after Benzino and his wife were fired from the hit VH1 reality show, he went on Instagram to blast his former boss Mona Scott Young for favoring Stevie J and Joseline over him and Althea.
"Sometime God doesn't give you what you think you want. Not because you don't deserve it, but because you deserve more," he wrote. "Ignorant people think they can treat you like s**t and get away with it. What they don't realize is What comes around.... goes around! I just love the smell of karma in the air... Don't you?"
He even posted a photo of Mona with K. Michelle and Joseline to show her favoritism with the caption, "So @monascottyoung just posted this 30 minutes ago to show what side she is on and to get me and Thi angry, but she just took it down.....hmmmm I wonder why......"
