Fans of the Spider-Man comic book know that a pivotal moment in the superhero's life came when his first girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, died at the hands of the Green Goblin even though Spidey thought he had saved her life. MStars reported last summer that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb made the decision to cut Shailene Woodley's scenes as Mary Jane Watson from the superhero sequel. In late November, the site posted a faux article about a bank robbery by someone that fit the description of the villain Shocker.
