Mayer is back on tour! The announcement of John Mayer's 2013 tour dates comes only days after his split with ex-girlfriend Katy Perry. The "Gravity" singer, who was forced to take 10 months off to treat a throat condition, is finally better and ready to refocus on singing and promoting his 2012 album, "Born and Raised," reveals E! News. The 2013 tour, kicking off July 6th at Milwaukee's SummerFest, will be his first major concert tour in three years following his unfortunate vocal hiatus, Billboard reports. Nearly all of Mayer's concerts will be opened by American Idol winner Phillip Phillips who has strummed his way to the top of the charts this year with his single "Home." Mayer will visit over 40 cities in four countries during the July-October tour, including dates at Colorado's famed Red Rocks (July 16) and the Hollywood Bowl (Oct. 5), as well as festival stops at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sept. 17), and Rock in Rio in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil (Sept. 21).
