According to some new rumors about the second season of HBO's hit crime drama True Detective, casting for the female lead has taken a step back in signing a leading lady and 7 (yes SEVEN) more actresses have been called in to read for the part. This means that earlier rumors about Jessica Chastain, then Elisabeth Moss, and most recently Rachel McAdams being close to landing the season 2 role(s) are most likely false.
