While Twitter was set up as a an easy social media outlet and a way to relay news updates in a simplified way, these days it's really just a source for abuse. Sure, it doesn't happen all of the time, but racism, sexism and general bullying is rampant on the 140-character communication website. In a recent internal forum post discovered and published by The Verge, the company's CEO, Dick Costolo, admitted that the social media website, as a company, doesn't handle abuse on the website well.
