The widely anticipated sequel Captain America: Civil War comes out later in 2016, and it brings back most of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, who will be fighting for or against superhero regulations. Now, new spoiler rumors claim that four current Avengers could be on the way to their deaths in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.
In the comic books Civil War is based on, Captain Steve Rogers himself (played by Chris Evans in the MCU) is killed, and former Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) takes his place. New rumors say the adaptation might be pretty loyal to its source material.
According to Cinema Blend, these rumors have been going on for a while, but there's a new one regarding the deaths of three other Avengers in this summer's big superhero flick.
A source told That Hashtag Show that there are three other possible deaths in the film besides Rogers'. It seems as though there were death scenes filmed for Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and War Machine (Don Cheadle). While the scenes have been shot, it's hard to tell if they'll be part of the actual film, as they could have also been created to throw fans off the scent of what will really happen in the movie.
Still, it seems unlikely that not only would one, but four main characters, would get killed off in one same film, even if comic book deaths are usually a little relative and already in the films, that's become apparent. So far, Chris Hemsworth's Thor still thinks his brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is dead, and Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson did come back to life after being killed off in the first Avengers movie.
So unless the Marvel bosses are getting annoyed at having too many people hanging out at the Avengers Tower, it seems unlikely that so many characters will die during this ordeal. Unless, of course, there are behind the scenes contract issues we are unaware of right now. Although it's more than likely that one of them does die, at least temporarily, we won't find out who it is for sure until May!
