Retired model Angie Bowie was married to "Starman" David Bowie in the 70's, just when he skyrocketed into superstardom. The two became the poster couple for open bisexuality and had one child together, Moon film director Duncan Jones. Now, 2 weeks after Ziggy Stardust's death, the former Celebrity Big Brother house member speaks up about her ex husband and what it meant to be married to Bowie.

Last Sunday, Bowie's first wife took to The Daily Mail to recount her time with her rock star ex, including how they had "an open relationship from the start," as Bowie had told her from the beginning that he didn't love her. These days, the former model even tells the story that the night before their 1970 wedding, the two even had a threesome.

In Bowie's shocking exposé, the singer's first wife describes their relationship as a "showbusiness marriage," mostly conducted in public. Bitterly, the woman who was once Mrs. Thin White Duke revealed that she and Bowie had been estranged for many years, and she says he never acknowledged their decade-long marriage and reportedly even fired anyone who mentioned her in his presence.

Bowie recounts that she and the Labyrinth actor got divorced after a decade together, when he was heavily involved with drugs and had had too many affairs for her to be comfortable with. While she revealed both of them had relationships outside their marriage and it wasn't a problem, things started going south when he started sleeping with other people "in front" of her instead of without her direct involvement.

As for Jones, the former couple's only son and named Zowie at his birth, his mother says was never close to her. After his parents' divorce, the now-director chose to stay with his father and they've remained mostly out of touch throughout his whole life, even now that Bowie's passed away.

According to Metro, Bowie found out about her ex-husband's death during her time in a reality show earlier this month, and she found some solace in the way she'd found out.

"The news of his passing was broken to me in the Celebrity Big Brother house on Channel 5," she wrote in her recent account of her time with Bowie. "The fact that it happened on television was weirdly appropriate since it was a showbusiness marriage conducted in public a lot of the time."
