'The Last Witch Hunter' Vin Diesel Reveals 'Fast And Furious' 9 & 10 Release Dates

Movie franchising is today's easiest and most effective way when it comes to reeling in profits as well as loyal movie followers. Not only fans get hooked to the storyline but they also get attached to the characters as well. Fans have something to look forward to as momentum builds as the film needs to get big. That's why lots of production companies invest in the movie franchise. One of these franchises is Fast and Furious that is already up to its 9^th and 10^th installment.

Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel announced on his Instagram page that Fast and Furious fans will expect not only Furious 8 that is set to be released on April 14, 2017 but also Furious 9 on April 19, 2019 and Furious 10 on April 2, 2021, respectively. This announcement is apparently Universal's major marketing plan until the 10th film is released. Together with the dates, a tagline that says, "2 Decades, 10 Films, 1 Saga" is also included.

This announcement actually confirms Vin Diesel's comments about his promise to Universal on "one last trilogy" to end the series. Now that we already have the dates for Furious 8, 9 and 10, does this mean it is already the end of the Fast and Furious franchise?

Most of Furious 7's cast returned for Furious 8 and Lucas Black is also committed for Furious 9 but there is no clear plan for the 10th. Although, there is an expectation that most of the actors will sign on for the rest of the remaining installments. As of this moment, Vin Diesel is busy recording for Guardians of the Galaxy's second installment.

Furious fans are not the only ones happy about the remaining trilogy. Seems like Helen Mirren, as well as the writers, still have an opportunity to find a part to play in the series. Diesel wants her, she wants in, then it should be possible, right? What do you think?
