Cleveland Browns Quarterback Johnny Manziel Refuses Rehab, Father Fears For Son's Life!

It's a tumultuous time for Johnny Manziel and his family. The former Texas A&M star and current Cleveland Browns quarterback has been involved in a number of off the field incidents, causing doubt over his future in Cleveland, and cause for concern from his family. Not just for his career, but for his well being. In fact, his father went so far to tell the Dallas Morning News that he fears for his son's life.

"I truly believe if they can't get him help, he won't live to see his 24th birthday," Paul Manziel said. 

Manziel's father has attempted to sway the star quarterback into receiving help for his issues on multiple occassion. First, he attempted to have his son entered into an addiction rehabilitation clinic in Van Alstyne. Then, it was a Hospital in Carrollton Springs. However, the star quarterback could not be convinced on both occassions, and was eventually allowed to leave under his own will.

Manziel's father expressed his particular frustration with Manziel being allowed to leave the Hospital, as he had told a Denton County Sheriff officer that he suspected his son might be suicidal.

Aside from not wanting to enter a rehabilitation center, Manziel has also been involved in a number of incidents with his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley.

In the most recent incident, Crowley alleged that the quarterback hit her several times while driving her to her home on Jan. 29, according to a report released by Forth Worth police. However, no charges were filed and the case was dropped.

On top of all that, Manziel's agent and friend, Eric Burkhardt, recently announced his decision to end his professional relationship with the troubled star, no longer willing to represent him as a client.

And while his family and former agent have expressed their concerns for the 23-year-old, he's continued to dispute the portrayal that he is out of control, saying that he's "completely stable."

As for his career in football, it's widely expected that Manziel will be released by the Browns come March.
