Marvel Hides Mike Colter's 'Luke Cage' Teaser In 'Daredevil' Season 2 Finale On Netflix!

With two Marvel Cinematic Universe Netflix series already out there and a third one planned for this September, the connections between the proto-Defenders, including random mentions and cameos. Now, days after the release of season 2 of Daredevil, the first Netflix-Marvel series, those who binge-watched it have made a revelation; hidden in the finale is the first teaser trailer for Mike Colter's Luke Cage!

Days after Colter took to the Daredevil season 2 premiere to announce the Luke Cage release date, it has come out that Marvel also hid the first glimpse of his stand-alone superhero series at the end of episode 13. Only a few seconds short, the teaser shows the superhero being shot at (and obviously not feeling a thing due to his impenetrable skin) and being very annoyed about his clothes getting torn by bullets.

Those who follow the MCU have already gotten a glimpse of Luke Cage, also known as Power Man, as the character debuted last fall in the second Netflix-Marvel project, A.K.A. Jessica Jones, as a love interest/superpowered ally to Krysten Ritter's complex heroine.

As the MCU grows on Netflix and there are more and more references to the shows on it, it's no surprise that Marvel would choose to add a new teaser at the end of Daredevil, though the two characters haven't met just yet. In the recent season following the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, Jessica Jones is also referenced a few times, from someone mentioning other vigilantes (and even Jessica by name), Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple mentioning a strong friend and a cameo from a major character from the series.

It's still unclear whether Luke Cage will follow the character before or after the events of Jessica Jones, but it has been established that a lot of the action will be taking place in Harlem instead of Hell's Kitchen.

After Luke Cage, the following series will be Iron Fist, the last of the planned pre-Defenders shows, though if The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is successful enough, Marvel could be making another series revolving around the character.

The first season of Luke Cage will premiere on Netflix next September 30.
