Gwen Stefani has been blasted by fans who insist her April Fool's Day sonogram post is insensitive.
According to her Instagram feed, Stefani is pregnant with a baby girl. The No Doubt singer sent her followers into a frenzy by posting a photo of a sonogram, revealing that she and boyfriend Blake Shelton are actually having a child together. Her April Fool's prank may have been well-played, but not everyone appreciated it.
There’s been pregnancy rumors surrounding the 46-year-old rockstar since she started dating her fellow The Voice coach last fall. After being bombarded with numerous baby rumors, Stefani took the opportunity on April 1 to make everyone believe that she has a fourth child on the way.
"It's a girl," the "Used to Love You" singer captioned a sonogram on her Instagram account, adding a series of heart emojis.

Fans went totally crazy in the comments section, although it seems many figured out that Stefani isn’t really carrying a baby, but a lot believed her post and had mix feelings after realizing that it was just a prank.
Some fans are complaining that her faux pregnancy is insensitive to women with fertility issues.
“This is not funny," one comment read. "For people who cannot conceive or have trouble conceiving or who have miscarried you should never joke about pretending to be pregnant and blasting it all over the world. I figured you would have more respect seeing you are a mother."
Although the Stefani and Shelton are not set to welcome their bundle of joy just yet, In Touch reported that Team Blake's mentor is freezing her eggs so she could have a baby with the country crooner at some point in the future.
“Gwen is freezing her eggs because she wants to have a baby with Blake,” an insider told the mag. “She’d love to have a girl — plus Gwen knows her boys would love to have another sibling — and wants to give Blake this opportunity to have a child that’s biologically his. But she doesn’t want her age to prevent that from happening.”
