Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is bringing audiences Batman: The Killing Joke to DVD and Blu-Ray. This is the perfect opportunity to check out Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reunited in as The Dark Knight and The Joker in the official Blu-Ray trailer.

As we previously mentioned, The Killing Joke is the critically acclaimed graphic novel written by Alan Moore (The Watchmen) and Brian Bolland (Judge Dredd). Groundbreaking from the first page, the story serves as both an origin tale for the clown prince of crime and as a standalone episode. In the narrative, The Joker chooses to hunt down the Dark Knight's loved ones. Their confrontation will lead to one man left standing.

5) From Page To Screen!

In this critic's opinion, the best adaptation of Alan Moore's works has to be, hands down, the Hughes Brothers' From Hell. There was respect to the original source material, while playing around with the visual flair. I love that the trailer features Conroy reading text straight from the comics! How Conroy says "I've been thinking about you and me" brings chills down my spine!

4) Nostalgia At Its Best!

If you grew up in the '90s, you fondly remember the voice of Kevin Conroy in Batman: The Animated Series. The guest stars included Mark Hamill (Star Wars) as The Joker, Paul Williams (Phantom of the Paradise) as The Penguin, Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) as Clayface, and Richard Moll (Night Court) as Two-Face. As an adult, having my childhood idols back as Batman and the Joker is just bananas! I just want to hit the floor with my knees and thank the Lord!

3) That Laugh!

The influence of The Killing Joke can be seen in Jared Leto's performance in the upcoming Suicide Squad and of course, Heath Ledger in Dark Knight Rises. Not only are the Batman and the Joker the embodiment of good and evil, their relationship has become Captain Ahab and Moby Dick. The duo will always be chasing each other, much like Dr. Loomis and Michael Myers' in Halloween, until one of them is dead.

2) Batgirl!

This writer is very excited to see how the animated movie deals with the Barbara Gordon/Batgirl subplot. Even though the one-shot came about in 1988, that shocking twist still has its impact to this very day and fans are still talking about it.

1) The Special Features!

According to Screen Rant, the bonus extras include an exclusive sneak peek at the next DC Universe Original Movie, the featurettes - "Batman: The Killing Joke - Madness Set To Music" - "Many Shades of Joker: The Tale of The Killing Joke. The Deluxe Edition includes a limited edition The Joker Figurine. From the DC Comics Vault, customers will also get two 22-minute episodes: The New Batman Adventures - "Old Wounds" and Batman: The Animated Series - "Christmas with The Joker."

Batman: The Killing Joke will first hit Digital HD starting July 26th, 2016, before arriving in stores on Blu-ray and DVD on August 2nd, 2016.
