Gotham S02E21: A Legion of Horribles Robin Lord Taylor, Ben McKenzie Premiere Recap

Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham, with Wrath of the Villains. In episode 21, A Legion Of Horribles, can Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) handle Dr. Hugo Strange (BD Wong)?

Selina (Camren Bicondova) finds herself trapped by Firefly as she dodges bursts of flames. Bridget Pike has been brainwashed by Strange. Selina has no choice but to knock out her friend. Bruce (David Mazouz)  learns from Ivy (Clare Foley) that Selina is still missing.

As acting captain, Bullock (Donal Logue) has to deal with the press. A mysterious woman is very interested in the news. Strange has been experimenting on Clayface, whose skin starts to sag. Strange has woken the dead but none of their minds have remained intact. Fish Moony (Jada Pinkett Smith) appears to be on his list. 

After Bruce gets a yelling by Alfred (Sean Pertwee), Lucius Fox (Chris Chalk) realizes there may be traces of radiation to find the secret lab. Blaming himself, Bruce needs to get involved. Jim agrees to protect Bruce and break into the asylum as well.

While Fish is being revived, Nygma tries to make a bargain with Peabody. Alfred has one last talk with Bruce before sending him out to his mission. In a new costume, Fish remembers who she is.  

Strange is impressed by Bruce's bold moves as he shows up at Arkham. As Luscius and Bruce enter the building, Jim sneaks his way inside as a guard. As Strange and Bruce psycho-analyze each other, Fox finds the secret passageway and marks the spot.

Strange confesses he pleaded with Thomas Wayne to turn back before he gets himself killed. After Jim finds Lucius' markings, Strange orders the capture Bruce and the others. Back in her cell, Fish discovers she now has supernatural powers.

Strange misses Thomas as he looks at Bruce. A woman with an owl mask wants Strange to repeat the resurrection process and destroy evidence of Indian Hill. Selina finds herself in a standoff with Firefly as they point their flame-throwers at each other. 

Selina fires first but the flames have no effect on her. Offering herself as a servant, Selina sighs as Firefly lets her live.Hearing Jim is in trouble. Bullock rounds up the police force. Lucius explains that wherever there is life, there is hope.

Nygma decides to have fun with Bruce and Fox as Strange experiments on Jim. Edward gives Bruce and Fox 5 minutes to find a way to escape his cell. While Bullock and the others are on their way, Clayface now has Jim's face and speaks with his voice.
