Samsung is a South Korean multinational company found in Samsung Town, Seoul. It has numerous subsidiaries and affiliated business and most of them are under the Samsung brand. Samsung launches the rewards for Samsung Pay for users located in the US, a company's first mobile payment platform. This reward works in a similar way to credit card awards. Every time the payment is processed using Samsung Pay, points are applied to your account and can be used towards various rewards.
Debit card holders can have another way to earn rewards by registering it through Samsung Pay. According to CDRinfo, after a certain number of transactions, enrollees can achieve different status for that month to multiply the points they receive. Earn points can eventually redeem for any variety of items such as gift cards to popular retailers, Samsung products, prepaid Samsung Rewards Visa gift cards and much more.
For example, if the user has five transactions in one month, Samsung Pay will give "Silver" status to the user and the points will be twice for every transaction they conduct. For twenty (20) monthly transactions the user will be awarded "Gold" tier and triple points in every purchase, and for the thirty (30) monthly transaction the user will be to the "Platinum" status and can earn quadruple points. This program also gives award to those selected active enrollees with " Instant Win" prizes, a trip for two to Napa Valley and other new prizes rotating regularly.
Samsung Rewards does not stack up against rewards programs from any banks like Chase, Citi, and American Express. The Verge stated that Samsung Rewards is dependent having a card with them and it can appeal the early adopters who use Samsung Pay on a regular basis. The company says it's a new rewards program will roll out this week.
This reward program of Samsung can be used by Samsung Pay app that will let users redeem their points for gift cards from any major retailers. This will be just the beginning when the program launches. For incoming months, Samsung Rewards will expand to include a wide variety of any Samsung products and services such as Samsung.com and S Health and other partner programs.
Samsung always looks for other ways to offer the customers more value, to enhance users their experience with Samsung products and services, make users day-to-day lives with a little more convenient. Samsung Pay helps people to slim down their physical wallets and Samsung Rewardsto keep their digital wallets full.
