Microsoft, Redmond-based tech giant is still silent with its device Surface Pro 5; however the tech enthusiasts are waiting for its official announcement. The 2-in-1 device from Microsoft is said to hit the tech market in March this year.
Recent reports suggest that Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 will be released during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which is going to take place from Feb. 27 to March 2. It is also said to arrive with three variants having different processors.
According to PC Advisor, March is the most prominent time for Microsoft to unveil the Surface Pro 5, and MWC 2017 is one of the highly possible occasions for Microsoft to do it.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 variants will be Kaby Lake-based, the all three variants are expected to feature the dual-core Core M, Core i5 which will be dual-core as well and has two threads, and the higher-end Core i7 that is quad-core and with eight threads, reports TechTimes.
Surface Pro 5 was previously rumored to support a 4K display resolution after Digitimes reported it based on sources. Along with a 4K-capablity, Microsoft was also rumored to introduce a new stylus that can be recharged wirelessly.
International Business Times notes that there is a possibility that the Surface Pro 5 will also support a 3D display with a frame rate of 60 frames per second. The same report suggests that Microsoft might consider ditching the AMOLED with IPS touch panels.
The Surface Pro 5 is expected to come in two different versions of storage 16 GB and 32 GB, supporting 512GB to 1TB storage SSD. The processor for the device has no proper details, as few reports say that Surface Pro 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 processor.
Surface Pro 5 is also speculated to have a full cinematic experience in the 12.5-inch 4K screen at 60fps. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity is also expected in the device. Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will possibly have a starting price of $899.
