Nokia’s Android P1 Smartphone Expected Launch In 2017 At MWC

HMD Global being Nokia's smartphone developers have an exclusive surprise for Nokia users with the launch of Nokia 6 smartphone. During the Mobile World Congress which is likely to be held in Barcelona in 2017, Nokia P1, a new model of Nokia's smartphone is expected to have its launch.  

The new Nokia's Android-based P1 smartphone has been said to have rumours of it being based on Sharp Aquos Xx3, which had its launch in Japan last year.  

According to Hindustantimes, the new Nokia P1 phone will be manufactured with a storage capacity of 256GB and 128GB variants. It is expected to be priced around $950 and $800 respectively.   

The new P1 phone is expected to arrive with added features, which include a display of 5.3 inches, covered with Gorilla Glass 5. The new device is said to have a screen resolution of either full-HD or QHD. Nokia P1 will run on updated Android Nougat and will also comprise of 6GB of RAM coupled with Snapdragon 835 SoC.  

HMD and Nokia have entered an agreement, where HMD will have a sole use on tablets and mobile phones across the world for the brand 'Nokia'. The HMD has also acquired cellular standards like the designing rights and the essential patent license from Microsoft, stated Newsjs.

Nokia P1 smartphone is also expected to have 22.6 megapixel rear cameras, a Zeiss Certified technology in terms of optics. A support for quick charging, 3,500mAh battery as a power backup is an imported feature of the P1 phone, which is certified by IP57. The device will consist of a fingerprint scanner, which will be placed on the right.

A recent release of China-exclusive smartphone, Nokia 6 is said to be priced 1699 CNY, which will only be available through JD.com website. With a display of 5.5 inches full HD, Nokia 6 also consists of a 2.5 D Gorilla Glass.

The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, which is powered by X6 LTE modem for superior graphics performance and an excellent battery life. Along with all the consisting features, Nokia 6 is also backed with an internal storage of 64GB with a RAM of 4GB for its better performance.
