NBC's "Timeless" faces the possibility of cancellation. Considered a "bubble show", it has loyal fans, but its live viewer ratings leave much to be desired. The show's creator, Eric Kripke, who was also the showrunner of "Supernatural," rallied fans for support on Twitter. He highlighted a few ways that fans can help the mystery, sci-fi, action show to get a renewal for Season 2.
"Timeless" live viewer ratings is decreasing
According to CarterMatt, "Timeless" has an average rating of 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic. It's not too low, but not too high on the list of shows that people watch. Unfortunately, it recently dipped into the 0.9 rating. The show has a lot of potential, so creator, Eric Kripke, took to social media to ask for more support from the fans.
In a letter he posted as a picture on his Twitter account, Kripke urged fans to watch the series whenever it airs on NBC every Monday at 10/9c. He said that fan petitions to renew a show usually come out too late when the decision has been made and the show has already been cancelled. He asked fans to spread the word and get as many people as possible to watch the show on TV so that the network would give it the green light for Season 2.

Fans show support for "Timeless" on Twitter
After Kripke's Twitter post, several cast members from other shows expressed their support. Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins from The CW's "Supernatural" urged viewers to watch "Timeless" on TV to increase viewer ratings. Collins also revealed that he would be in one of the sci-fi show's episodes. Terry Matalas, creator and director of "12 Monkeys", also asked fans to support the time-travel series.
One of the show's celebrity fans is Leslie Jones from "SNL" who promised to live tweet the episodes to encourage more people to watch on TV. Fans started to express their support for the show on Twitter, posting pictures and encouraging fans to do the same under the hashtag #RenewTimeless. Viewers who want to help the show should tune in every Monday on NBC at 10/9c.
