This Nintendo NES Classic Edition guide contains two important hacks that would be very useful to owners of the new console. The first NES Classic Edition hack solves the irritating problem of having to reboot the console just to change the game being played while the second shows how to cram as much as 700 games into the console.
One of the main complaints about Nintendo's console is the hassle associated with changing games. True to the old operating style of the original console which served as the template for new ones, the only way to leave a current game and play a different one is to hit the reset button. But there is a new NES Classic Edition hack that does away with the unnecessary step and directs one to the main menu without resetting.
The latest Nintendo NES Classic Edition hack comes from ClusterM, a GitHub user who created an app called Hakchi2, reports Digital Trends. The app's latest version allows NES users to go to the home screen by pressing the select and down arrows at the same time. Users may likewise customize what buttons to press to achieve the effect.
In addition, the Hakchi2 app also allows one to customize and add loads of games to the console. The good thing is that the NES Classic Edition hack is easy to follow which essentially allows owners to expand the game's library to by loading the entire 700 plus games Nintendo library into the console, reports WWG.
As shown below, the NES Classic Edition hack does not require one to open the console itself. It only requires that one connects the console to a PC using a USB cable, which is explained in the tutorial video after this article. However, one needs to know beforehand that tampering with the NES using such method would void its warranty.
